A distressing typo' problem

Patients like to weigh in by e-mail, and I, in turn, can read them at will. This strategy, however, may be harmful to health:

"I am still having an upset stomach and episodes of diarrhea. They are happening after each email now instead of just in the evening."

Back away from the computer, ma’am. Phone me instead.

Hmmm... Sounds like she's spending a lot of time at the computer. I suspect social media. Highest in the differential? The dreaded Twitterhea.

LOL! How do you have time to answer emails from patients???? And do all the other stuff you do???? I take my proverbial hat off to you.

Oh, I forgot to mention, I used to be a medical transcriptionist in a medical records department of our local hospital. Ohhhh those typos!!
(one common typo that springs to mind is the beginning of an OR report, which usually goes like this: "with the patient prepped and draped and under general anesthesia....."

Sometimes one of us secretaries would forget to type the "d" in draped. LOL!
