She shivered and retched in the medical tent, in terrible pain with a hip flexor pull.
“How far DID you walk today?”
“Nineteen miles…for my sister.”
“How much did you train?
“Well, I’m not generally a walker.”
I didn’t know whether to praise or to scold, but I was smiling too much to do both.

Hi Wendy, Thanks for visiting. The dedication of these walkers always moves me every year that I participate.
I'm always impressed by what people can do when motivated by love. Let me echo Dr. Harpham - not every MD would appreciate her energy.
I've read a few of your posts. Great to see physicians keeping everything in perspective.
My best, Tim-RRT
Great post. I just stumbled upon your blog and wanted to say that I have really enjoyed browsing your blog posts. Because of reading the blog, I decided to write my own. I had never been interested in keeping a blog until I saw how fun yours was, and then I was inspired! In any case I’ll be subscribing to your feed and I hope you write again soon! Thanks for sharing with us. Thanks…
