"Her lymphoma's refractory, transformed, and aggressive."
Damn, how can my friend’s name appear in a death sentence like that?
But wait, we’ve still got LEN or lenolidomide (Say what? Never heard of it!).
Here’s her name in a kinder, gentler sentence:
“LEN has promising clinical activity and achieves durable responses in [insert her name here].”

I hope she responds
Hi, Judy,
It was so good to get your comment on my blog, Ellen In Medicaland. Yes, my oncologist was definitely from another planet. And I hope to get this published. If you know of any literary agents or publishers, please let me know at e_kagan@yahoo.com. And please keep in touch. I love what you write. Ellen
Hello! I'm a nursing student in the UK, glad to be reading... You've not posted in a whiley... I miss your wee snippets! :( Come back soon?
x
Dear Jayneth,
Thanks for your kind comments. I lost my heart for blogging when my friend died in late June. I look forward to picking up again in the future, and I appreciate your encouragement.
Warmly,
WD
No problem.. that's something you need time for. :) Look forward to seeing you back whenever you're ready. x
I am so sorry for your loss. I had feared the worst when you weren't blogging any more. I hope you will consider coming back to your blog when you can-I always find it insightful and used to look forward to your posts.

Very Well Said :)
I have just published my medical memoir on Kindle. Ellen In Medicaland:True Stories of How I Fell Down Medicine's Black Hole and Still Lived After All tells my off-the-wall experiences in a Harvard-teaching hospital. These stories are so nutty that if they were fiction, you would say that these things could never happen. The book costs $4.99.
Please post soon.
I saw a reference to your little blog on the sidebar of Paul Levy's " Not Running a Hospital " blog from Boston.
You have given us many little gifts in very few words. Not a religious guy, but God bless you.
Hey Doctor,
If not for you then for us. Post please.
"But wait, we’ve still got LEN or lenolidomide (Say what? Never heard of it!). "
