The coroner called today; Kim found down at home, dead for days, maybe more.
I saw her last two weeks ago. She was holding court in our waiting room, surrounded by a laughing group of ex-strangers, all sharing the pleasure of her story.
But then no one noticed she was gone for days, maybe more.

I ponder how such things happen, yet don't really want to know the reason why.
Sad to think so many days passed before anyone noticed.
So sad that no one noticed. But it sounds as if she was happy two weeks earlier. Hopefully your having cared for her previously and gotten her back to that point at least gave her some more time to enjoy life.
Oh, I think I could be a "Kim". It doesn't mean it's 'sad'.
Life's like that sometimes.
